Therapeutic solutions to navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, and relationships, in a demanding world.
From the pressures of a changing economy to the stress of the recent tornadoes, this fast paced life can be overwhelming. Finding that additional reserve of calm needed for managing our lives and intimate relationships can be challenging.
Whether you’re facing dating, relationship struggles, work-related anxiety, or balancing it all, we’ll take it one step at a time. Together we will create a safe, non-judgemental space to talk about feelings and experiences. Part of our work will be discovering the thoughts and feelings that drive us and sometimes keep us trapped. We will also explore self-care and how to nurture ourselves when we need it most.
As a wife, mother, and professional of over 15 years, I understand the stress of managing interpersonal conflicts at work, unmanageable workloads, and the ongoing demands of an ever-changing, competitive work environment. My approach combines practical strategies, with evidence-based therapy.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to start. Wherever you are right now is enough.

Are you struggling with dating, marriage issues, or balancing a demanding career with your personal life?
Many individuals find themselves repeatedly drawn to partners who are not supportive in the ways they need, or mired in difficult marriages. This can lead to feelings of frustration and loneliness. I specialize in helping clients understand the underlying attachment issues that drive these patterns, offering guidance and strategies to foster better communication and healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

I was born and raised in Missouri but lived for many years in New York City and San Francisco. I have an undergraduate degree in International Relations, have traveled extensively, and thus offer a wide lens of understanding.
A mindfulness practitioner since 2003, I was able to train with some of the great teachers of our times in the Bay Area. Mindfulness has proven to be a well documented approach to managing stress, depression, and working with trauma.

Emotionally Focused Therapy
Our family of origin attachment style influences all our relationships. Discovering this style this can help us in everyday communication at work and with our families.
Emotionally Focused Therapy is an evidenced-based method that is based on becoming familiar with our own attachment styles and that of our partner. In this way we can reconnect and reignite troubled relationships.
Find more information at The Attachment Project.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
An evidenced-based method for discovering the thoughts and feelings that affect our mindset and behavior on a regular basis.
“CBT treatment usually involves efforts to change thinking patterns. These strategies might include:
- Learning to recognize one’s distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality.
- Gaining a better understanding of the behavior and motivation of others.
- Using problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations.
- Learning to develop a greater sense of confidence in one’s own abilities.”

Mindfulness-Based
One method for becoming more aware of these thoughts and feelings is through mindfulness meditation. This technique involves noticing thoughts and feelings. When we focus on our breath for example, we start to realize that this is a challenge because our thoughts are a million miles away. We start to note that our thoughts may be planning thoughts, regrets, or memories and so forth. After awhile we start to realize that many thoughts are manifesting a story about who we are and who we should be. The goal is to shift our thinking to the present and what we are feeling and thinking in the moment. In essence we realize that the past is over, the future has not arrived, and the present moment is the place to find joy and create intention.
